At Swype we are rightfully proud of the investments we have made in new equipment over the past twelve months, with a new HP Indigo 7900 for our card manufacturing section followed swiftly by a new KONICA MINOLTA, INC. C10500 for the print division.

But Swype is a company with an incredible heritage, history and longevity that proves that some things are build to last, and that successful businesses survive the test of time.

The origin of our founder and MD Tim Scott’s family businesses can be traced back to the mid 1800’s with a fascinating back story demonstrating evolution and entrepreneurship, and the business in its current guise has been making cards right here since 1996 as the UK’s original digital card manufacturer.

Some of the equipment in our print finishing division is older than the business itself (and maybe even older than Tim, just maybe…) and still in everyday use – a wonderful mix of sights and sounds and smells of a bygone era representing a golden age of UK manufacturing and and proof that they really don’t make them like they used to!

The business is made of its people, and we are incredibly proud of the team here. The average length of service of our team is over 10 years, including a few team members who were here at the very start of the Swype journey 30 years ago.
